Griffin and Wong’s hand-painted wallpapers were glorious in “The Great.”

We have had wonderful reviews on the hand painted wallpaper that we produced for Catherine the Great’s bedroom for the recent Hulu/Amazon Primetime series “The Great” with Elle Fanning and Nicholas Hoult. We painted 27 panels of our Shen de Tang design on a custom blue/grey colorway for the series pilot that was being filmed at the Belvoir Castle in the UK. Once the series was picked up by Hulu, the shooting shifted to production lots and sites in Italy. If you have an eye for detail, go back to episode 1, where mid-coitus with Peter and Catherine, the scene is switched out for the production lot set. See if you can spot the difference. 😹  Huzzah!

Apparently, the panels are still on the walls at Belvoir Castle, so please go for a visit during public viewing hours, and help support one of the castles on the British Heritage Registry.
